Julius Caesar

Directed by Cynthia Croot

Opens Saturday, July 21 at 8:30 pm in the Mary Rippon Theatre (Preview, Thursday, July 19)

Despite the pleadings of soothsayer and wife, great Julius Caesar strides out to the Forum. There he falls with thirty-three bloody gashes—at least one for each tyranny-fearing conspirator. The wily Marc Antony incites the mob, ignites civil war and, ironically, sparks the rise of the greatest dictator of all—Octavius Caesar. Part political thriller, part moral tale, the play reverberates with contemporary echoes. Both timely and timeless, the play takes no sides. Rather, it asks us to contemplate the face of power in all its manifestations.
