When Phileas Fogg and his companion, Passepartout, leave London in a hurry, we’re in for a fantastic romp around the world. Traveling by yacht, elephant, train, steamboat, and conveyances rigged up on the spot, the two meet and defeat a host of dangers. Adventures abound on every continent, and a delightful surprise ending is assured for this family-friendly Victorian tale. This new adaptation of the Jules Verne classic is scheduled for an off-Broadway premiere later this year.
